What is CDA mean?

Have you ever tried to flash, debrand, or change the language pack for your Sony Ericsson phone? If you ever do, maybe you know about CDA codes that related with your Sony Ericsson phone. I want to know the official information about CDA, but I have not got it.

The main function of the CDA is as identifier of your phone.
It will tell SEUS (Sony Ericsson Update Service) about:

• Your phone region
• Your phone branding (Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange, etc) if any

Then, SEUS will flash your phone with the appropriate firmware based on those information.

Example use of the CDA:
- If your phone come from Australia and you need Russian language or change to other language pack, you will need to change the CDA.
- If your phone come from T-Mobile and you want to debrand your phone, you need to change the CDA.

The CDA code also known as Product Code for Nokia Phones.
