Sometimes, it happens to me. When i tried to unplug my USB device from laptop, i couldn’t find safely remove hardware icon in Windows systray. Some devices could be damaged if you try to unplug without using safely remove in Windows, also some people feel uncomfortable to do so.
If you have any removable USB device plugged into your computer, Windows always displays safely remove hardware icon in systray. It’s very useful if need to remove a device so that Windows can finish all tasks involved with it, avoiding bad things that can damaging your device.

Some people get this problem while jailbreaking process using redsn0w. I have some tips after googling for a while, you may luck from 1 of these tips:

- If you’re using Windows Vista or Windows 7, don’t forget to use compability mode.
- Run jailbreak in another computer with OS Windows XP Service Pack 2.
- Use iTunes 8.2 if you’re using older iTunes.
- Use redsn0w 0.8 instead redsn0w 0.7
- Plug into another USB Port in your computer.
- Plug then unPlug your USB Port in computer.
- Connect the iPhone to a computer USB directly (without USB hub).
- Use the same file both redsn0w and iTunes. If you use iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw in iTunes, use iPhone1,2_3.0_7A341_Restore.ipsw for redsn0w too.
