If you’re trying to launch Microsoft Expression Web and always getting stuck at startup with error message: Microsoft Expression Web has stopped working, you may try this quick-solution (in case, you have Kaspersky program).

Open up Kaspersky, go to Settings, Web Anti-Virus.

Click on Settings, then uncheck “Block dangerous scripts in Microsoft Internet Explorer” option.

Some people don’t have any of Kaspersky products installed, but similar still having such problem. You may try to disable your security-suite product (such as Norton).

I am getting this error consistently when using EW4 on my Win7 64bit. I am running McAfee Security Center and have already tried with it disabled. Getting frustrated now. :-(
Hey guys, if you do not use Kaspersky then try this -
In your program files under Microsoft Expression/Web/en/Extensions if you remove those two folders your program will start right up!
